Kore was born out of a vision shared by founding principals Jim Nevins, Ben Nevins, and Holder Nevins, who combined their extensive experience in construction and development to form a company rooted in core values. Today, we continue to honor that vision by focusing on detail-driven execution and enduring value for our investors, residents, and partners.

Meet the Team

  • Holder Nevins

    MANAGING PRINCIPAL

    As a founding principal of Kore, Holder combines hands-on experience in multifamily development and commercial construction with a deep understanding of the development lifecycle. Prior to Kore, Holder honed his expertise at Brasfield & Gorrie and LIV Development, where he managed multifamily assets across the Southeast. Today, Holder oversees all aspects of Kore’s operations, from site selection to asset management, ensuring that every project aligns with the company’s core values and high standards.

  • Jim Nevins

    PRINCIPAL

    A seasoned leader with more than 40 years in development and construction, Jim brings unparalleled expertise to Kore. Before founding Kore, Jim managed major multifamily and commercial construction projects at Pine Hurst Corporation and Brasfield & Gorrie, where he oversaw more than $500 million in developments. In 1992, he founded Nevins Development Company, which laid the groundwork for Kore’s creation. Jim’s visionary leadership continues to guide Kore’s growth as he draws on decades of experience and a passion for creating thriving communities.

  • Ben Nevins

    PRINCIPAL

    With more than 40 years of experience in construction and development, Ben has played a pivotal role in shaping Kore’s mission. His career began at Brice Building Company, where he served as President and COO, leading the firm to national recognition. A Lifetime National Director of the AGC of America and former President of the Alabama Association of General Contractors, Ben’s industry contributions are far-reaching. As a founding principal, he brings exceptional leadership and a steadfast commitment to excellence.

David Roberts

DIRECTOR OF CONSTRUCTION

David brings 17 years of construction industry experience in field operations, project estimating, and project management to the Kore team. Prior to transitioning to Kore, he contributed to major healthcare and commercial projects with leading firms like Robins & Morton and Hoar Construction, and has helped deliver over $515 million in new construction. At Kore, David plays a pivotal role in overseeing the design and budget expectations of upcoming projects while managing day-to-day construction operations on active projects. His leadership helps to ensure that every project is completed successfully and upholds the company’s high quality standards.

Patrick Dreher

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & OPERATIONS

Before starting his career in real estate development, Patrick spent seven years as a CPA in EY’s tax group, where he developed a strong foundation in tax, accounting, and finance. At Kore, his impact goes far beyond the numbers. He plays a pivotal role in all phases of development, from underwriting and debt placement to design, asset management, and investor relations. He also oversees lease-up performance, property insurance matters, and on-the-ground operations with property managers, ensuring each development’s long-term success.
